This is fine
To say that the last 3 years of high school amid a pandemic have been difficult is an understatement.
I was so eager to go back to high school my junior year, there were so many extracurricular activities and even in-school things to do that I was interested in. Before the pandemic hit I was prepared to do it all over again but instead I was presented another opportunity. I became my own boss as my friends like to say as a piano instructor. I started with the small sum of 5 kids to teach spread out across the week. With all plays and musicals totally up in the air, I needed something else to keep me busy so I took on another job at Walmart. Every week I attended a five-hour online school day then clocked into work (Walmart or piano lessons) and did it all again the next day. I could not be more grateful for the young kids I got to enjoy beautiful music with. Not only was I granted the chance to build new relationships with talented young ones but I was able to work on my physical stature when I allowed myself time. I learned persistence and finally gave myself credit for the amount of strength I never would have known I had. As many took this pandemic as a downfall in their life, I know in the end as difficult as it was the immediate change was so internally helpful for my growth as a person.
